1. Banana Compote

Ingredients:

1. 1/2 bunch of ripe bananas

2. 1 red sweet potato (200 gr pumpkin, peel, wash & cut)

3. 1 handful of preserved sugar palm fruits (300 gr matured sugar palm fruits)

4. 3 small round blocks of brown sugar (1 small block)

5. 2 pandan leaves

6. 1 cinnamon stick

7. A pinch of salt

8. 500 ml medium-thick coconut milk (100 ml)

9. 750 ml water (200 ml to dissolve brown sugar)

 

How to Make:

1. Prepare the ingredients. Cut bananas, sweet potatoes according to preference. Slice brown sugar.

2. Put 200 ml of water into the pan. Add brown sugar & pandan leaves. Cook the brown sugar until dissolved, then lift and strain.

3. Pour brown sugar water, the remaining water (550 ml) & cinnamon stick into the pan. Then add sweet potatoes. Cook until the sweet potatoes are half-cooked, then add the sliced bananas & preserved sugar palm fruits. Cook until all the ingredients are soft & the sugar is absorbed.

4. Add coconut milk, a pinch of salt & pandan leaves. Cook until boiling & taste it. After it tastes right, turn off the stove & remove the cinnamon stick.

3. Add carrots, sauté until slightly wilted, add water, then baby corn, button mushrooms, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and salt. Wait until it boils and the carrots are slightly soft.

4. Add meatballs and Chinese cabbage, stir until the cabbage wilts. Add the cornstarch mixture and water as well as sesame oil.
