Sigi, January 16, 2020 - PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFI Finance) inaugurates clean water supply facility to meet the needs of around 300 families to be used for public facilities, such as mosques and schools, in Sigi Regency and Palu City. BFI Finance partners with Ikatan Alumni Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia (ILUNI FTUI), Ikatan Alumni Arsitektur UI (ILUNIArsUI), and FUSI Foundation to build clean water reservoirs in the form of water torn and tank.

The inauguration was attended by Regional Manager of BFI Finance for Sulawesi Region 1, Khenriek Tjandra, Chairperson of ILUNI FTUI, Cindar Hari Prabowo, and Village Head, Lambara Enos, S.Pd. This infrastructure rehabilitation program is BFI Finance's commitment to post-disaster recovery in Central Sulawesi.

This clean water storage facility project has two concepts, namely:

  • Open water installation: take raw water supply from rivers in the mountains using pipe installation. By utilizing the force of gravity, water is flowed into reservoirs and then distributed to people in need.
  • Community-based: upstream end of the clean water pipeline is in Desa Daenggu while the downstream one is in Sub-District of Donggala Kodi, Palu City. The surrounding community participates in building a reservoir and installing a five-kilometer pipeline.
