South Tangerang, November 27, 2023 – PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFI Finance) has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification as a realization of the company’s commitment in applying international standard for information security management system. By obtaining this certification, BFI Finance is considered capable of adhering to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards in management system and also complying with IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards collectively known as electrotechnology.
In applying ISO 27001:2013, BFI Finance limits the implementation to only be carried out in CNV application that is connected to the Population and Civil Registry Office (Dukcapil). As for future development strategy, BFI Finance has the opportunities to apply the standard for information security management system in other applications that BFI Finance uses without the necessity to expand the scope of certification.
The implementation of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certainly gives many benefits. By having ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification in information security management system, BFI Finance fulfilled best practices requirements and is considered capable of managing and protecting important information related to civil data records. This certification is expected to provide security for business partners and customers as they work together with BFI Finance.
