Tangerang, September 19, 2022 – As a form of commitment to give positive contribution to the Indonesian society, PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFI Finance) initiated a program themed “The 1000 School Uniforms for Children of Our Nation Movement” (the 1000 Movement). Taking place in a number of schools in Candipuro, Lumajang Regency (Sept. 15), BFI Finance handed over 800 packages of elementary school uniforms to children who survived the Mount Semeru eruption, followed by 200 packages for elementary students in Balaraja, Tangerang Regency (Sept. 19).
Apart from the symbolic handover of aid, the event also included various educative games involving BFI Finance employees. Particularly in Lumajang, the event was fitted out to also include trauma healing program for children affected by the disaster. The trauma healing program was coached by volunteers and local government agencies.
BFI Finance sustainably carries out social responsibility programs. Especially with the 1000 Movement, BFI Finance has performed it since seven years ago in different locations in the country that included, among others, Batam, Pekanbaru, North Lombok, Kupang, Maumere, Gowa, Sukabumi, and Sintang.
