BFI Finance continuously strengthened its social and environmental awareness by conducting two events in different areas, namely North Jakarta and Banyuwangi. In North Jakarta, BFI Finance inaugurated the placement of the second UCOllect Box at St. Andreas Kim Tae-gon Church in Kelapa Gading on September 19, 2026. Collaborating with Noovoleum, this deposit machine for used cooking oil works not only to reduce environmental pollution, but also to generate direct economic impact in the form of cash incentive, which is automatically paid to members of communities for each liter of used cooking oil that they deposit. The second box complemented BFI Finance’s commitment after placing the first box prior to this at SDN 04 Sukasari Tangerang elementary school in 2025.
In Banyuwangi, BFI Finance also held an economic empowerment event for coastal communities in Pangpang Bay, Wringinputih Village, on September 25–26, 2026. It was organized in cooperation with the Cooperatives, Micro Enterprises, and Trade Office of Banyuwangi Regency and Bendega Alam Lestari Foundation. The training event, which was participated by tens of participants from community-based coastal surveillance group (Pokwasmas) Baret and forest farmers group (KTH), was focusing on processing mangroves into products that have selling point, such as cheese sticks and brownies. In order to ensure long-term business sustainability, BFI Finance provides intensive assistance until May 2027 to facilitate the administration of Business Identification Number (NIB) and Home Industry Food Licensing (PIRT) for legality.
