Upholding Commitment on Sustainability, BFI Finance Plants Thousands of Mangrove Trees in Mangrove Areas

In an effort to create harmony between business sustainability, improvement of quality of life in communities, and environmental preservation, BFI Finance initiated a mangrove (Rhizophora mucronata) planting event. Employees and fishing communities planted thousands of mangrove seedlings at mangrove forests located in Pangpang Bay in Banyuwangi, East Java (12/6/2025).

The event was one of BFI Finance’s real contributions to maintain coastal ecosystem. The company collaborated with Yayasan Bendega Alam Lestari foundation as the partner for mangrove planting, replanting, and periodic monitoring.

Mangrove planting action is one of events in the company’s series of sustainability programs that has been carried out for a long time. Throughout the year of 2025, besides Banyuwangi, mangrove planting has also been done at Kelan Beach in Badung Regency, Bali (11/22/2025), with a total of 15,000 mangrove seedlings planted in both areas.

By maintaining and restoring coastal ecosystem through mangrove planting, BFI Finance believes that this measure will generate major influence and impacts on social economic conditions and environmental preservation.
